PowerPhotonic Gaussian diffusers are a unique type of refractive diffuser that uses a freeform direct-write process to create highly non-uniform surfaces in fused silica.
The refractive nature of the diffuser means that it imparts a well-defined and tightly controlled divergence angle to an input beam, which can range from fractions of a degree up to 10 degrees (FWHM). This makes PowerPhotonic Gaussian diffusers ideal for a wide range of applications where precise beam shaping is essential, such as laser tattoo removal, laser skin rejuvenation, laser projection, and source homogenisation.
The diffusers are available in a variety of sizes and divergence angles, to meet the specific requirements of different applications. They can also be customized to create highly arbitrary intensity distributions.
